Are you ready to live a more fulfilling life?

The work we do together will lead to self-discovery and healing so that you can progress in life and actually enjoy living. Some of us are just trying to get through our days versus being present and able to enjoy various parts of our days. Therapy is time you take care of yourself so that you are more emotionally available to be present and engaged with the ones you love. People who seek therapy are not weak but strong enough to realize they need support in a time they are not doing well. This also shows you love/like yourself enough to try and change things for the better. While in therapy, you allow someone else to emotionally care for you and you aren’t expected to reciprocate in that in any way. This is the unique component of therapy that differs from our other relationships. It is all about you getting your emotional needs met and understood.

You are not alone

I offer in-person individual psychotherapy for adults. Telehealth sessions are provided on an emergency and travel basis only. Sessions are 50 minutes (clinical hour) in length. It is recommended we meet on a once-a-week basis at the beginning of our work in order to establish a connection, sense of emotional safety and keep up therapeutic momentum.

⏲ Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length.

$ Individual psychotherapy is $225 per hour.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Intensives are offered but differ from traditional talk therapy. The intensive model entails meeting approximately 3-4 days in quick succession (over 1-3 weeks) for 3-4 hours per session then, concluding the work. This type of brief therapy has proven to be especially helpful for symptom reduction for acute trauma.

⏲ Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length.

$ Intensive EMDR sessions are $300 per hour

Hi,

I’m Dr. Saira “Sara” John.

Are you enjoying your life or just trying to get through it? Some of us are on autopilot or in survival mode versus being present and happy most of our days. The work we do together will lead to self-discovery and healing so that you can make changes and actually start enjoying your life.

Therapy is an investment of time to take care of yourself in a way that differs from all other relationships. In therapy, you get to solely focus on your needs and gain clarity from a person who is not involved in your life elsewhere. Additionally, you allow someone else to emotionally care for you and you aren't expected to reciprocate as you would in other relationships. Individuals who engage in therapy realize they need support during difficult times and this is viewed as a sign of strength. Seeking support from a therapist demonstrates you have enough concern for your well-being to try and change things for the better.

This process is all about you getting your emotional needs met in an unbiased manner while feeling supported as you find your way. My hope is that our sessions serve as a time where you feel comfortable and safe enough to be yourself. I will help guide you to better adapt to life’s challenges, heal old wounds and understand what is holding you back from living your life to the fullest.
