My Approach

I believe in a collaborative (team) approach that uses our relationship to help gain insight into what may be troubling you. We will address issues you bring to session and we may delve into your past to understand the underlying causes of your current issues. General goals of therapy are for you to feel more empowered, understand yourself at a deeper level and feel happier on a daily basis. It is my hope that through our work, you will emerge feeling better equipped to notice and manage challenges as they come up in your life.

In our work, I will draw upon several techniques from different schools of thought: Cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), Systems theory and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I provide a safe, warm and comfortable environment that allows you to open up and explore your issues. My style of therapy is interactive, interpersonal and encourages free expression. I aim to help you feel understood and accepted. I look forward to hearing from you.
